The measurements are based on the inside driving clearance. Add 15” for the overall footprint of the guard.
Example: A 16’ Standard Wing guard will require 17’ 5” between the fence posts. A 16’ Gate Wing guard should be installed at an actual 16’ opening.
The Gate Wing cattleguard does not come with a gate. The gate should be hung on gate posts not on the actual cattle guard.
